EXCLUSIVE: 2 Gates at San Roque Dam now open

This just in from a fellow Urdanetan working at San Roque Dam:

As of 2:00 pm, 3 gates are now open at 1.0 meter each.
Water  is 7.80 meters above Normal High Water Level

Binga Dam in Benguet has opened 6 gates while upstream Ambuklao Dam also in Benguet has opened 8 gates.

Water released from Ambuklao flows into the Binga reservoir, while the water released by Binga flows downstream to the San Roque Dam.

In effect, San Roque Dam is the catch basin for all this water.

As of 12:00 pm, 2 gates are now open at 0.5 meters each.
As of 10:00 am, 1 gate was open at 0.05 meters (PAGASA)

Within 24 hours since yesterday, the water level rose 4.49 meters from 277.23m at 6:00am, to 281.72m by 10:00am today Oct 20, 1.72 meters above the Normal High Water Level.

Residents of flood prone areas are advised to be vigilant for a sudden rise of waters and possible evacuation.
